Your first appointment includes:

  • Review of your medical history and previous imaging or reports;

Many patients achieve significant relief with conservative or minimally invasive therapies. If surgery is necessary, we coordinate while ensuring continuity of care.

Same-day or walk-in appointments are available.

Bring the following:

  • Photo ID and insurance card
  • Current list of medications (names and dosages)
  • Relevant imaging (MRI, X-ray) or medical reports
  • Questions or concerns for your provider

We strive to see patients quickly. Many appointments can be same-day or next-day, especially for urgent or severe pain.

In most cases, no referral is needed, though some insurance plans may require one. Our staff will verify your coverage and guide you through any necessary authorizations.

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to accommodate other patients and reschedule you promptly.

After procedure approval:

  • Fasting: Do not eat or drink anything after midnight before your procedure.
  • Transportation: Arrangements coordinated by the surgery center.
  • Check-in: Nurses will gown you, start an IV, and prepare you for the procedure.
  • Meeting the team: You will meet Dr. Mahajan and the anesthesiologist to review the procedure.
  • You will be sedated and positioned comfortably, usually lying on your stomach.
  • Duration: Most minimally invasive procedures take 5–20 minutes.
  • The team monitors your safety and comfort throughout.
  • Mild soreness or discomfort at the treatment site.
  • Fatigue or drowsiness from sedation.
  • A small bandage covering the insertion site.
  • Rest is recommended for the first day; avoid strenuous activity.
  • A work note will be provided if needed.

Most patients do not need a referral. If your plan requires one, our staff will guide you through obtaining it.
